Dear Lorena & Ruben, as you know my visit to you was a pre-surgical visit. I know when I return, I will feel very much at home. In the short time I've been here I feel as if I've known everyone for a long time. Your hospitality and friendlyness is second to none. The love that abounds in your family is so nice to see and enjoy. I've truly enjoyed you all and your beautiful country in every way. Dear Ruben Lorena and family, thank you for the kind care and attention so graciously extended to me during my stay at CheTica ranch! Dear Lorena, Ruben, Fawn and family, I must start with saying "Thank you" I was very worried about sending my mother to Costa Rica for surgery and not being able to be by her side. I have now seen what a wonderful job you all have done taking care of her. She talks so highly about all of you. I could never repay all of you for taking care of her, so I'll try and show my gratitude. The business that is being run here is the all time best service. The food that is prepared daily is amazing and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful server, Ruben your daugther Fawn is gorgeous. To our Costa Rica family: it really is hard to put in words how we feel about our stay with you.We fell as though we have know youall our lives. Your hospitality was SUPERB! Lorena, the meals were outstanding!! Thank you Ruben for the beautiful flowers and the side trip into the forest to see your lovely secret waterfall. What a treat!! Fawn, thanks for all the care you gave us and we wish you the best with School! Keep up the good work! We highly recommend the Tortuga Island tour, those folks are class act and it's wonderful! Dear Ruben, Lorena and Fawn, I feel incredibly blessed you were on the path I was skipping down. The experience of meeting and interacting with your family, I should say, your "loving" family, will forever be dear to my heart. My every need was met, my every expectation was surpassed and your generosity always felt from the heart. Meeting you on this little path of life, will always be one of my fondest memories. My only regret is that my love, my husband did not have the pleasure of meeting you all, tasting the ***** food and taking in all the beauty of CheTica Ranch. I came alone on this journey but I was met with open arms and hearts. Queridos, Well, you have done the impossible! Something Doctors Rosenstock & Cohen can't even do, you've performed open heart surgery without even making a single incision, you've opened our hearts and implanted the warmth and love of your unique family and an everlasting desire to always be part of CheTica life. Since I've known Angel, he's talked about his friend Ruben in Costa Rica and how much he wanted to visit him. But work life kept getting in the way. Some guardian angel must have finally gotten tired of waiting for us to decide when to come and gave us a kick, because all of a sudden, Angel said, "let's go next week" and here we are! And now, we will never be the same! Standing around the kitchen, sipping wine, laughing, talking, laughing some more, it has all felt like we've been doing it together for years.I pray we will be doing it together for years to come. Dear Ruben Lorena & Fawn as a woman "of a certain age" who has always traveled with family, I was frankly somewhat worried about making this trip and having surgery alone. Dear Ruben, Lorena, Fawn and family, when I was doing my research to come to Costa Rica, I looked up CheTica's web-site and was very surprised at all of the services that you offer and provide. However, what astounded me the most, were your guest's comments; everyone seemed to be extremely satisfied with the beauty of the ranch, the delicious meals and the caliber of the service. More importantly, everyone wrote about what a wondeful family you are. Therefore, I arrived in San Jose with high expectations; knowing that you will be very nice. To my surprise, you are in real life even more fantastic than I could have ever expected! You are marvelously fantastic and awesome! I am very impressed with your sense of humor, your kindness, your warmth and your honesty. Thank you for making my experience here a very positive, even beautiful one! Dear Lorena, Ruben and family I have had some very unique & wondeful experiences in the last 5 or 6 years, things I never dreamed I would do. My stay in Costa Rica at CheTica Ranch definitely is one of those experiences. Driving home from the Clinic through the streets of San Jose I thought to myself I can't believe I've flown to Costa Rica for a face lift. This is something I would never have been able to have, without all the help & kindness that you have given. Lorena thank you again for your understanding of my "hip" situation & calling the Doctors inmediately to see what I might do. The meals you and Fawn prepared were soooo good! I specially enjoyed the "Quiche" on Saturday for lunch. Ruben, thank you for being our mouth piece on so many occasions and for trying to accomodate all our needs and wants with such great patience. The relationship you & Lorena have with the Clinic was a great comfort, knowing you could contact them if necessary. Thank you for picking up & delivering us back to the Clinic & airport. For me, this surgery would not have been possible, without you. Thank you for the Christian principles you display. Thank you all and Fawn for taking food orders. Dear Ruben, Lorena, Fawn, little Ruben, Nina, Granma & Granpa, I didn't know that I had a family in Costa Rica. I took a flight from New Mexico, excited to see a country that looked like my chilhood paradise of Panama. We drove to CheTica Ranch I discovered the location of the "lost garden of Eden" and God is there! Then I found my other family! You are so wonderful, sweet and genuine, I'm happy I finally got to meet you all! When my husband asked me if I had seen any of the sights of Costa Rica I told him that all I could dream of seeing was at the beautiful ranch I was staying at....CheTica Ranch I then described it's lush tropic beauty to him. Dear Lorena and Ruben, I would not have had the courage to come to Costa Rica for cosmetic surgery without the support at CheTica. Ruben was a delightful companion, driver and teacher during our daily drives to the Clinic. Lorena was a warm and welcoming hostess. The quiet and beauty of CheTica facilitated my recovery. All of you have been so supportive & helpful in every possible way....from supplying firewood, fresh flowers, music, not to mention great food! Hola from the Midnight Sun State of Alaska, now I know why Jackie raved about the Martin family so much after her recovery visit last June. You people are absolutely wonderful. Lorena & Ruben, this I mean, please consider us your life-long friends. You will be most warmly welcome in my home and I truly hope that you can come this May/June time frame. Thank you for the wonderful day trips, good food and just being old fashion nice people. Jackie and I are so tired. We got home at 2:45AM today which is 4:45AM Costa Rica time.We have been up for a very long time and I didn't wear my garment at all and now I'm feeling it! Dear Ruben & Lorena from the time we got off the plane and saw our "Welcome to Costa Rica" sign, you and your family and staff have made us feel not just welcome but like part of your family. How fortunate for us to have found such congenial and careing hosts. CheTica is certainly a restful and beautiful place. We shall remember it with very fond memories. One of the memories that surely heads the list is Lorena's cooking. Without a question, we have never, in all of our travels, found such fine meals, day after day. ( Lorena please write a cook book! ) Another memory we shall always keep in our hearts is the lovely & sweet Fawn, truly you named her correctly. To find such a sweet and careing spirit in one so young is remarkable. We do hope that one day she can come to visit with us and our grandaughter, Melissa. We will not forget Ruben taking us to the Clinic, shopping , the Zooave and showing us points of interest that helped us to see and understand more of Costa Rica. Dear Ruben, Lorena & Fawn as you know this was my second trip to "the Ranch" I was right 100% the first time with my feelings & thoughts about you and your family, it's everything I thought it was then.
